Featuring Quilter and Artist Althea Gyde

Experience the brilliant collision of paint, fiber, texture, and color at Wenatchee Community Acupuncture. Local quilter and artist Althea Gyde - owner of Blue Heron Quilting Longarm Studio and Leavenworth Quilt Company - presents a captivating exhibition exploring the depth of the color spectrum through an inventive mix of artistic mediums:

watercolor, acrylics, block prints, gel prints, quilting, & embroidery

Anchoring this exhibit is a series of six art quilts inspired by “Watercolor, Dye, Grid”. Each of the six pieces started with a watercolor painting experiment and ended with an art quilt composed of Althea’s hand-dyed fabrics.

Discover Althea’s inspiration for her work, her diverse preferences for creative mediums, and a curated collection of finished works involving paint, fiber, texture, and color! Immerse yourself in the vibrant spectrum, meet the artist, and celebrate downtown Wenatchee’s creative community.
